Measuring station firmware for wireless data collection via LoRaWAN
Jánoš, Vít ; Možný, Radek (referee) ; Juráň, Radovan (advisor)
This thesis deals with software development for STM32WL55-JC1 MCU. Development kit was chosen primarily bacause of its LPWAN possibilities. Final prototype communicates on LoRaWAN network. Data are sent through public network from The Things Network, these data are concentrations of carbon dioxide, temperatures and carbon dioxide flux. Data are also backed up locally on SD card along with timestamp. The software was designed with the use of the chamber measurement method in mind, which is also described in the text.
Measuring station with data transmission via LoRa network
Nguyen, David ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Najman, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the data transmission from the measuring station via LoRa network. The goal is to research possible solutions of data transmission using a LoRa technology and to select suitable hardware for creating a measuring station. Subsequently, setting up radio module with sensors and developing web application that will collect, store and present the data from the measuring station. This thesis includes tests of power consumption, range and transmission reliability of the end node.
Design of complex sensor node for LoRa network
Obrtáč, Tomáš ; Sova, Václav (referee) ; Chalupa, Jan (advisor)
This thesis covers development of complex sensor for LoRa network. The thesis is extended by theoretical section, which explains basic properties of Lora network. Theoretical section also covers analysis of software and hardware products on market. The practical part of thesis is focused on creation of complex sensor and development of complete server for its operation. In the hardware part is described method of choosing the right sensors, designing the PCB and description of important parts. Software development is described from acquisition of network server, through creating the computer application, to programming the MCU.
LoRa Gateway
Očenášek, Matěj ; Janůš, Tomáš (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the implementation of two LoRaWAN systems and the creation of instructions on how to put these systems into operation. Both systems consist of a end device, an access gateway, a network and application server, and a website to display the data obtained from the end device. The public network "The Things Network" and the local network ChirpStack are used to implement these two systems.
Optimization of LoRaWAN transmitter final stage
Hrbek, Tomáš ; Prokeš, Aleš (referee) ; Hanák, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with optimization of transmitter amplifier parameters for LoRaWAN network. The issue of optimization is first based on the conditions of ETSI EN 300 220, which takes into account the eventuality of interference the adjacent channels in the band. The optimizations are designed specifically for the Qorvo RF5110g integrated circuit, so that the amplifier meets the requirements of the above standard at the limit of the maximum allowed output power and also with respect to radio ecology.
Wireless Sensory Network Using LoRa Technology
Mikulášek, Michal ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses in the first half on the Internet of Things and the available wireless technologies for the Internet of Things. Each technology is characterized by its features, pros and cons, as well as the possibilities of using it in the Internet of Things. In the second half of the thesis, a practical design and construction of a LoRa network, consisting of a sensory and a central unit, is carried out. The parts of the solution are designed wiring schemes, printed circuit boards and detailed photo documentation. Additionaly the software solutions for both types of units are described, with detailed descriptions of the proposed features. The maximum possible range is tested and documented for the entire solution. Subsequently, a detailed measurement of the power consumption of the sensor unit is carried out and an extensive estimation of its battery life for a selected battery.
Implementation of the NB-IoT and LTE-M Technologies within the NS-3 Simulation Tool
Lubajo, Lubajo Moses Wolyan ; Zeman, Kryštof (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
Sítě LPWA (Low-Power Wide-Area) je možné v dnešní době realizovat bezdrátovými komunikačními technologiemi NarrowBand IoT (NB-IoT), Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) a Sigfox.
Implementation and Performance Evaluation of the LTE Cat-M1 Communication Technology Utilizing the NS-3
Drápela, Zbyněk ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with LTE Cat-M communication technologies and its implementation in the NS-3 simulation tool using the 5G-LENA NR module. The theoretical part describes LPWA technologies available in the Czech Republic. It also focuses on the LTE-M standard and especially LTE Cat-M1, which are described in more detail. The practical part describes the possibilities of LTE Cat-M1 simulation using simulation scenarios available for the older version of NS-3, and also some modifications to the current version of NS-3 and the 5G-LENA NR module are designed and implemented.
Comparison of methods for indoor localization
Povolný, Ondřej ; Rozum, Stanislav (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is in theoretical part focused on the ideas of the localization of people or objects, using the IoT technologies, namely ZigBee and Lora™. The possible methods of localization are mentioned, with the mention of parameters of the used technologies and the overview of existing modules that are obtainable on the market. The result of a practical part is design of PCBs, the basic testing of hardware and software and the analysis of the obtained data.
Network End Node for Spacial Monitoring of Atmosphere Parameters
Mlynář, Zdeněk ; Smetana, Lukáš (referee) ; Novák, Marek (advisor)
LoRaWAN end node is often a device composed of a sensor, or actor. In this case it is sensor monitoring atmosphere parameters. This can be used to investigate atmospheric impact on Free Space Optics. This work is firstly focused on physical layer LoRa, then on LoRaWAN communication protocol. LoRaWAN device classes are also described and examples of measurable parameters can be found at the end of the theoretical part as well. The practical part describes all components, which were chosen when designing this device, and lastly it comprises the schematic design. The result is printed circuit board design.
